motion on a pogopluE02

Richard Bown
Hi ,
me again :)
I've installed motion and webmin on the pogoplug, the motion daemon is running, but ports 8080 &
8081 are not open, running Deb7( wheezy), the only open ports are 22,631 and 10000.
I've installed iptables, which I need to relearn, and they are in default state of accept
everything.
Whats the default firewall on Debian 7 Armel ?, and how do you get at it to open ports. ?
I ran motion -s and it had problem with the driver for the camera , low end logitech, but runs OK on
the laptop at 1F/S ( $5 inc p&p), so I need to make some adjustments , I think thats on port 8080.
TIA

The default for /etc/motion/motion.conf is for *local_host to be on,
meaning only local connections.
Do you have it set to off (meaning allow network connections)?

*different versions of motion have it called webcam_localhost and
stream_localhost

Also my motion.conf has a 'mini-http server' listening on 8081 (it was
defaulted off).
[Note: my control_port is at 8080]
